Almond-Nut Macaroons
These almond-nut macaroons came about while trying to make cinnamon star cookies (post recipe & video in 2-3 days). It is basically the same recipe- just add 1 more egg white. You do not need any type of flour, which makes it naturally gluten free, they also don't require many ingredients in total or time! Which is why I will make these anytime of the year....

- 4 egg whites
- 0.75 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup ground hazelnuts
- 2 cup ground almonds
- 3 teaspoon cinnamon
- chocolate(optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Beat egg whites until stiff, then slowly add powdered sugar through a sifter.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine ground almonds, ground hazelnuts, and cinnamon. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients spoon by spoon.
Step 3
Spread batter onto a baking sheet using a teaspoon or a ziploc bag.
Step 4
Bake at 340°F for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5
Cool off for 20-30 minutes.
Step 6
Optionally, sprinkle or dip macaroons in chocolate.
