- 1 tablespoon salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup dried apricots, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup pitted dried prunes, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds lamb riblets
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine(optional)

Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add salt, cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg and stir until smooth. Add remaining ingredients (dried apricots, prunes, lemon, orange juice), cover, and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally. Brush or marinate lamb ribs in sauce before grilling.

Rub lamb riblets with salt and pepper. Thread them on a barbecue spit or place them in a crown on the grill. Cook 5 to 6 inches above coals, brushing with sauce every 15 minutes. Cook for about 45 minutes or until well done. Serve riblets with remaining sauce.
