Cream Of Anything Soup Base

Approximately 4 1/6 cups of dry soup base mix (enough for 8-9 can-equivalent servings when prepared)

Use this for all those crock pot recipes that you never use, because they always require a can of creamed soup. Replace that can, with 1 cup of this finished recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 2/3 cups dry milk powder

Instructions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, dry milk powder, and salt).

Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or two forks until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

until thick and bubbly

To use the prepared mix: Combine 1/2 cup of the mix with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring often, until thick and bubbly.
