  • 1 cup Thoor Dhaal
  • 1 bunch Palak Green
  • 2 Red chillies
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cup beans
  • 3 carrots (sliced horizontally)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Asafoetida powder
  • Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Sambhar powder or Curry powder

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the greens into small pieces. Soak them in water to clean. Drain the water.

Cut the vegetables into small cubes.

Preheat the pressure cooker and spray oil.

Add mustard seeds and allow them to burst.

Add red chillies, onions, and garlic and sauté until brown.

Then add tomatoes and asafoetida powder.

Meanwhile, soak the Thoor dhaal in water.

Add carrots and beans to the dish.

Drain the Thoor dhaal and add it to the dish.

Add Sambhar powder or Curry powder, salt, and palak greens.

Mix well and close the lid.

Cook for 15 minutes or until 2-3 whistles are heard.

Serve Palak dhaal.
