Turos Csusza

Ingredients

1 package (16 ounce) egg noodles
3 1/2 slices maple smoked bacon
2 cups sour cream (full fat works best- better if you can find Hungarian sour cream)
salt to taste

Preparation

1
Cook noodles according to package directions, making sure to add salt.
2
While noodles are cooking, cook and crumble bacon - I use the toaster oven, but a pan works fine too. Microwave not recommended.
3
Drain noodles and put into a casserole dish. Mix 2 c sour cream with noodles. You can mix in a bowl if desired, but using just the casserole dish means one less dish to clean!
4
Top with cheese curds and bacon.
5
Bake at 350 F until curds melt and dish begins to brown slightly. Approximately 10-15 minutes, but keep an eye on it.
6
Remove, serve with salad and crusty bread, and enjoy!
