A long time ago I was watching Bobby Flay at a restaurant in San Diego, Cafe222. The owner made her version of Peanut Butter Banana Stuffed French Toast.   • 2 slices bread of choice
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 unit banana, sliced in rounds or lengthwise
  • 1 whole egg, whisked
  • 1/8 cup orange juice
  • pinch unit ground nutmeg
  • pinch unit ground cinnamon
  • pinch unit cayenne
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil(optional)
  • unit syrup(optional)
  • unit confectioners sugar(optional)
  • unit banana (for garnish)(optional)

Instructions

Prepare a peanut butter and banana sandwich using the two slices of bread.

In a bowl, combine the whisked egg, orange juice, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, and cayenne. Mix well.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add one tablespoon of butter or cooking oil.

Dip the prepared sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are thoroughly coated.
