Classic Cranberry Sauce
1 ½ cups of sugar
1 ½ cups of water
4 cups of cranberries
4 pieces of lemon zest
¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Simmer 1 1/2 of cups each sugar and water with 4 cups of cranberries,
4 pieces of lemon zest and 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice over medium heat until the berries pop.
The sauce should thicken in about 20 minutes. It needs to be left to cool.
