I decided to do something different instead of the same chicken breast in the oven, so I combined two recipes together and eliminate some ingredients and came up with this.   • 5 chicken breasts chicken breasts, split in half lengthwise
  • 8 ounce sour cream
  • 1 packet Ritz crackers, crushed into crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves minced garlic)
  • 1 tablespoon dry parsley (or 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley)
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • to taste salt(optional)
  • to taste black pepper(optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Combine cracker crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.

Dredge both sides of each chicken breast half first through the sour cream, then through the cracker mixture to coat.

Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place the coated chicken breasts on it.

Lightly brush the melted butter over the top of each chicken breast.

45 minutes

Bake uncovered at 385 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until the chicken is brown on top. Do not turn the chicken during baking.
