- Crab's Legs
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 4 slices ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tablespoons five-spice powder
- salt and pepper(optional)
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse crabs thoroughly and pat dry. In a bowl, combine flour, five-spice powder, salt, and pepper to create the breading mix. Coat the crabs with the breading mix, shaking off any excess.
Step 2
Heat a wok over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil (implicitly used in recipe, though not listed as an ingredient). Fry the breaded crabs until golden brown. Remove the fried crabs from the wok and set them aside.
Step 3
Using the same wok, add a little more cooking oil if needed. Sauté the minced garlic, sliced onions, and ginger until fragrant. Add ketchup, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and sugar to the wok. Stir well. Adjust sriracha and sugar to taste, if desired. Add the fried crabs back to the wok and mix them with the sauce, allowing them to cook for 5-8 minutes until the sauce thickens and thoroughly coats the crabs.
