  • 1 tub 8 ounce lite whipped topping, divided

Melt the chocolate nuggets in a fondue pot or over a double boiler. Ensure the temperature does not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Using a spatula, spread approximately 2 tablespoons of the melted chocolate nuggets in the bottom of a 3-quart mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup of whipped topping and whisk together until combined. Add the remaining melted chocolate nuggets and whisk until completely blended. Then, add the remaining whipped topping and blend completely. This specific blending method is crucial to prevent the chocolate nuggets from hardening in the whipped topping and to maintain a smooth consistency.
