- 1.0 tablespoons Red pepper, crushed
- 1.0 tablespoons Ginger, finely minced or grated
- 6.0 cloves Garlic, finely minced or pressed
- 1.0 cups Sugar
- 1.0 cups Vinegar
- cups Fish sauce
- Peanut oil
- 1.0 packet Wonton wrappers
- 1.0 tablespoons Sesame oil
- 1.0 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 2.0 pounds Ground turkey
- teaspoons Cornstarch (cornflour)
- teaspoons Dry sherry
- 3.0 tablespoons Light soy sauce
- 1.0 tablespoons Ginger, grated or finely chopped
- 6.0 onions Green onions, chopped
- 6.0 cloves Garlic, crushed, minced or pressed
Instructions
Step 1
Make the dipping sauce by mixing all of its ingredients. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Step 2
Stir together all filling ingredients (everything except the wonton wrappers and peanut oil). Mix vigorously by hand until it begins to bind together.
Step 3
Place 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of filling in the middle of a wonton wrapper. Fold the sides up around the meat to form a small bag or cup. Press the bottom flat to stabilize the dumpling.
Step 4
Oil the steamer racks with peanut oil. Place the dumplings in the racks. Steam for 15 to 20 minutes in a covered rack over boiling water. Serve hot with the dipping sauce.
