  • 2 dashes green food coloring
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 5 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup liquid margarita mixer
  • 1 unflavored gelatin
  • 3 cups ground small pretzels
  • 1 cup melted butter or margarine

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the ground pretzels and melted butter or margarine to create a crumb mixture. Press this crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of two 8-inch pie pans. Place the pie pans in the refrigerator to chill. In a microwave-safe measuring cup, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup of the liquid margarita mixer.

Let the gelatin and margarita mixer stand for 2 minutes. Microwave the mixture on high power for 40 seconds; stir thoroughly. Allow to stand for another 2 minutes or until the gelatin is completely dissolved. In a large bowl, combine the dissolved gelatin mixture, the remaining 3/4 cup of margarita mixer, sweetened condensed milk, tequila, orange flavored liqueur, and green food coloring. Mix until well blended and smooth. Divide the filling equally between the chilled pie crusts; chill until firm. Cover and refrigerate.
