Ground Meat With Tahini Sauce- كفته بالطحينه
This is an easy and tasty recipe for "Kufta" with Tahini Sauce. Kufta is ground meat mixed with Oniions, Parsley and Spices. Tahini sauce is cooked in this recipe, it might be a strange recipe but the results are very good. Usually the Tahini is mixed with lemon juice and water to thin it out before adding to the meat.

- 0.5 kilograms fine ground meat (Beef or Lamb)
- 0.5 cup chopped parsley
- 2 medium diced onions
- Salt(optional)
- Black Pepper(optional)
- Allspice(optional)
- 0.25 cup cooking oil
- 1/3 cup sesame paste (tahini)
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup water
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the meat with fine cut parsley and diced onions.
Step 2
Add your seasoning - Salt, Black pepper and Allspice.
Step 3
Shape into Kababs, the size of a small egg and place into a large pan.
Step 4
Add cooking oil and lightly fry the Kufta on the stove top to hold its shape.
Step 5
To prepare the Tahini sauce: Mix tahina and lemon juice together well until it forms a smooth paste.
Step 6
Slowly add the water while stirring to keep the mixture smooth.
Step 7
Pour sauce over kofta.
Step 8
Cook on the stove top covered at a low-medium heat until the water has boiled away to form a semi-thick sauce in the bottom of the pan.
Step 9
Brown the top under the broiler.
Step 10
Serve with Pita bread or white rice on the side.
