  • 1.0 pound ground beef
  • 2.0 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1.0 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • Italian seasoning
  • 1.0 bag shredded cheese – mixed Italian blend
  • Parmesan cheese
  • lasagna noodles

Instructions

Step 1

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Set aside in a bowl of water to prevent them from sticking. Brown the ground beef, drain the excess fat, and return it to the pan.

Stir Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into the browned ground beef. Heat the mixture through.

Lay a single layer of cooked lasagna noodles in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.

Cover the noodle layer with 1/3 of the meat mixture, then 1/4 of the shredded mixed Italian blend cheese, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Lay another layer of noodles and repeat the meat and cheese layering (meat mixture, shredded mixed Italian blend cheese, Parmesan cheese). Lay a third layer of noodles and repeat the meat and cheese layering, this time using the remaining 1/2 bag of shredded mixed Italian blend cheese on top.

20 minutes

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the lasagna is heated through.
