  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 pie crust 9 inch pie crust, pastry for
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 cups green grapes, seeded
  • 3 cups thinly sliced apples, Golden Delicious

Step 1

Sprinkle grapes and apples with lemon juice.

Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon peel, salt, and nutmeg. Gently mix this dry mixture with the fruit.

Place the fruit mixture in the pie shells. Dot with margarine. If using a top crust, seal and flute the edges, then cut vents.

40 minutes

Bake the pie at 425 degrees F for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and continue to bake for another 30 minutes. Serve warm.
