BeginnerJust because it's called Low Country Boil, which is associated with Charleston, SC area, doesn't mean you can't make it anywhere else. My cousin and I made this in Panama City Beach and it was perfecto!

- 12 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Old Bay Seasoning
- 16 small new or red potatoes
- 1/2 pound smoked sausage
- 2 medium onions, peeled but don't remove stems, cut into quarters
- 3 ears fresh corn on the cob, shucked, cut into thirds
- 2 pounds fresh shrimp
- fresh, crusty bread
- cocktail sauce
- lemon wedges

Step 1
Add Old Bay Seasoning to water and simmer.

15-18 minutes
Add potatoes, sausage, and onions. Bring to a simmer and cook until potatoes are tender.

4-5 minutes
Keep water at a slow boil, add corn, and cook.

Add shrimp and cook until they become pink and opaque.

Strain the contents and serve on newspapers or a large platter.

Serve with fresh, crusty bread, cocktail sauce, and lemon wedges.
