- 1 block tofu
- 1/2 cup flour
- favorite spices(optional)
- soy sauce
- fresh-ground black pepper
- oil(optional)

Step 1
Method 1: Baked Tofu Slices. Combine 1/2 cup flour with your favorite spices (e.g., cayenne).
Step 2
Press most of the water out of a block of tofu using a towel, then slice it any way you like.
Step 3
Dip the tofu slices in soy sauce, then dredge them in the flour and spice mixture.

Place the coated tofu slices on a baking tray.
Step 5
Bake for 20-30 minutes. A toaster oven works well for this.

If you prefer them more browned, place them under the broiler for 5 minutes before serving.

Method 2: Baked Tofu Cubes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C).

Cut firm tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Dip the cubed tofu in soy sauce, and dust all sides with fresh-ground black pepper.

Set the seasoned tofu cubes on a lightly oiled or non-stick baking sheet.
