  • 1 block tofu
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • favorite spices(optional)
  • soy sauce
  • fresh-ground black pepper
  • oil(optional)

Method 1: Baked Tofu Slices. Combine 1/2 cup flour with your favorite spices (e.g., cayenne).

Press most of the water out of a block of tofu using a towel, then slice it any way you like.

Dip the tofu slices in soy sauce, then dredge them in the flour and spice mixture.

Place the coated tofu slices on a baking tray.

Bake for 20-30 minutes. A toaster oven works well for this.

If you prefer them more browned, place them under the broiler for 5 minutes before serving.
