  • 3 cups hot cooked noodles
  • 1/3 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1 package 9 ounce frozen artichoke hearts, thawed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed or fennel seed(optional)
  • 1 can 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons hot style Hungarian paprika or regular paprika(optional)
  • 1 can 14 ounce chunky tomatoes with garlic and spices
  • 1 can 14 1/2 ounce beef broth
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 medium potatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes

In a 3 1/2, 4 or 5 quart crockery cooker, place potatoes, onions and garlic.

Add beef. In a bowl combine broth, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, caraway or fennel <a href="/technique/FYFCQVPR/seed">seed</a> and <a href="/technique/DPSVTKVY/salt">salt.</a> Pour over all. cover; cook on low <a href="/technique/XZFHRHHF/heat">heat</a> setting for 10-12 hours or on high <a href="/technique/XZFHRHHF/heat">heat</a> setting for 5-6 hours. <a href="/technique/DRM2WPZ4/stir">Stir</a> thawed artichoke hearts into cooker.
