Steak Chicken,Gravy and Mashed Potato
Today I have Steak Fried Chicken with Gravy and Mashed Potato.This is a family recipe and my children grew up with it.Sometimes I joke them that they will soon developed chicken skin because they dont get tired of fried chicken.I cook at home and when we dine out,they still would order fried chicken.

- 2 pound chicken breast without skin sliced ¼ inch thickness
- 1.75 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg egg
- 1/2 tablespoon hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
- 2 cup oil for frying
Instructions
Step 1
Slice chicken breast to 1/4 inch thickness. Set aside.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together baking powder, baking soda, ground black pepper, salt, garlic powder, mustard powder, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Slowly add buttermilk, egg, and hot pepper sauce while whisking.
Step 4
Ensure the batter is well mixed, then add in the chicken slices.

Marinate the chicken for at least three hours.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and corn flour together to create the flour mixture.
Step 7
Dredge each piece of chicken in the combined all-purpose and corn flour mixture.
Step 8
Fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown, 3-5 minutes per side.
Step 9
Serve the steak fried chicken with gravy and mashed potato.
