  • Yellow squash
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter

Step 1

Slice several small, tender yellow squash and add a medium onion, chopped.

Sprinkle salt over the squash and onion. Add water about 3/4 way up in the pan.

20 minutes or until done

Boil for about 20 minutes or until done.

Drain well.

Add about 1/4 cup butter and mash with an old fashioned potato masher.

Serve warm.
