Tuxedo Brownie Re-Make (Adapted From A Pampered Chef Recipe)

  • 1 package fudge brownie mix (19-21 oz), plus ingredients to make cake-like
  • 1 ounce square semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup thawed frozen whipped topping
  • mini-chocolate chips(optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions for cake-like brownies.

Fill muffin cups two-thirds full and bake as directed by the brownie mix package.

Remove brownies from oven and place on a cooling rack.

Press a small well in the center of each brownie.

Cool for 15 minutes, then remove from the pan.

In the microwave, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and milk together. Stir until smooth, then cool slightly.

In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Add the melted chocolate mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth. Gradually fold in the thawed whipped topping.

Using a pastry bag or a Pampered Chef Easy Accent Decorator with a star tip, fill the center of each brownie. Garnish with mini-chocolate chips.
