- 3 slices bread, cut in round shape
- 1 cup dahi (curd or yoghurt)
- 1 tablespoon green chutney
- 1 tablespoon sweet tamarind chutney
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- salt
- black salt
- pepper powder
- red chilly powder
- cumin powder
- 1 cup water
- leaves coriander(optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Take the dahi (curd or yoghurt) and beat it well until smooth.
Step 2
Add salt, red chilly powder, pepper powder, cumin powder, sugar, and black salt to the beaten dahi.
Step 3
Mix well and keep the dahi mixture to chill in the fridge.
Step 4
Prepare or have ready the green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney.
Step 5
Cut round pieces from each bread slice, using a katori or a round mold.
Step 6
Fry the round bread pieces.
Step 7
Once fried, set the bread pieces aside.
Step 8
When ready to serve, soak the fried bread pieces in water one by one.
Step 9
Lightly squeeze out the excess water from each bread piece, being careful as the bread becomes very soft.
Step 10
Arrange the prepared bread pieces on a serving plate.
Step 11
Pour the chilled dahi mixture over the arranged bread pieces.
Step 12
Sprinkle the green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney, additional red chilly powder, and cumin powder over the dahi.
Step 13
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
