- cup mini-chocolate chips
- 1.0 cup all-purpose flour
- teaspoon baking soda
- teaspoon baking powder
- 1.0 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.0 egg egg, slightly beaten
- cup light brown sugar (firmly packed)
- cup stick margarine

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8- by 8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium saucepan, melt the margarine. Add the sugar and stir until smooth and slightly cooked. Blend in the egg. Add the vanilla, baking powder, and baking soda; stir just to remove lumps. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan. Bake until the top is slightly set and lightly browned; do not over-bake.
