- 150 gram white fish fillets
- 150 gram prawns
- 1 small bunch coriander(optional)
- 1 stick lemongrass
- 1 red/green chilli, finely chopped and de-seeded
- 20 gram fresh ginger
- 50 gram green beans, very finely sliced
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
- Sunflower oil
- 1 serving fish cake dipping sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the fish and prawns until smooth. This can be done using a food processor, or by flaking the fish and finely chopping the prawns. Then add the coriander, ginger, lemongrass, and chillies.
Step 2
Mix well, and add the salt and pepper.
Step 3
Add the green beans and spring onions to the mixture. Divide the mixture into equal pieces, roll each piece into a ball, then flatten into a flat disc.
Step 4
Heat enough oil in a pan so the patties don't stick.
Step 5
Cook the fish cakes in the oil (ensure it's not too hot) for about 1 minute on each side until golden.
Step 6
Drain the cooked fish cakes on paper towels.
