- Vegetable oil
- 4 slices Cheddar or American cheese
- 4 rolls Kaiser or hamburger rolls
- 2 bell peppers red and green bell peppers
- 3/4 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons ground red pepper
- 1 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/4 cups finely chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoons parsley flakes
Instructions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, finely chopped red onion, garlic salt, ground black pepper, white pepper, ground red pepper, and parsley flakes. Mix thoroughly. Divide the mixture and shape into 3 or 4 burger patties. Brush the bell pepper rings with vegetable oil.
Step 2
Grill the burger patties and oil-brushed bell pepper rings over medium heat for 8-12 minutes, turning once, until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F and are well-done.
Step 3
During the last minute of grilling, place one slice of Cheddar or American cheese on top of each burger patty until melted. Serve the burgers on Kaiser or hamburger rolls, topped with grilled bell pepper rings and fresh lettuce.
