  • 1 head cabbage, cut into 8 to 10 wedges (red or green)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon carraway seed
  • balsamic vinegar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Lightly oil an 8 or 9-inch square ceramic or glass baking dish.

Clean and cut the head of cabbage into wedges. Arrange the wedges in the prepared baking dish.

Spray or drizzle the cabbage wedges with olive oil, then sprinkle carraway seeds over them (adjusting amount to taste).

20 minutes

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cabbage begins to brown on the edges.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle balsamic vinegar over the cabbage wedges.

Serve hot as a side dish with roasted vegetables, stews, or roast meats.
