  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 dash Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Green Onions, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Fresh Parsley or Basil, chopped(optional)
  • 6.5 ounce Can Water-Packed Tuna, drained
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1.25 cup Non-Fat Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 8 ounce Tubular Pasta

Instructions

Step 1

Cook tubular pasta in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain the pasta and return it to the warm pot.

In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and add the minced onion. Sauté until the onion is transparent.

Stir in the flour and cook for a few seconds. Then, whisk in the non-fat milk and stir constantly until the mixture thickens.

Add the thawed frozen peas, drained tuna (shredded into chunks), chopped fresh parsley or basil, chopped green onions, grated Parmesan cheese, and hot pepper sauce to the thickened sauce in the saucepan.

Pour the sauce mixture over the pasta in the pot and stir gently to mix thoroughly. Serve at once.
