Bean Burgers

Ingredients

1 tablespoon corn meal
2 cups cooked white pea beans
cup brown rice cooked
cup sunflower seeds coarsely chopped
cup prepared chunky salsa
1 green onion chopped
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon chili powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Brush a cookie sheet with canola oil and dust with the cornmeal. Set aside. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Divide the mixture into six portions. On a piece of wax paper or foil, shape each portion into a round or oblong patty. Pick up wax paper and flip patty onto baking sheet. Repeat with remaining mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden.
