I grew up in Sarasota and worked at Yoder's, and this picture really does not do justice to the Yoder's Peanut Butter Pie, as Yoder's pie is usually so overwhelmingly big that your eyes pop out of your head when they serve it to you on your plate. The crumbs are usually falling off the top because there are so many of them on top of the whip cream and also bulging out the middle. I am glad you have posted this recipe for other's to enjoy, but the picture looks nothing like the original. You need a bigger, fatter, more indulgent looking pie if you are going to say it's the Yoder's recipe. No offense, but having grown up with their pie, I guess it's hard to see this picture and imagine it being their recipe. Thanks for posting it, just the same. Just wish the picture was more accurate. :-)

I made this today because my son saw it recently on the Food Network. It was a big hit!! I will definitely be making this again!

I grew up in Palmetto, FL but moved up to GA a couple years ago and every time I go home for a visit I always order a pie to go. I totally agree that this picture is NOT anything like Grandma Yoder's. My favorite part of ordering a whole pie is watching them try to fit it all into the cake box! There needs to be twice as much cake and CRUMBLES all over it, not plain peanuts. Also, does the "pudding" part taste like Grandma Yoder's/Miller's pudding? I know how to do everything else but need the pudding part and want to make sure this actually tastes like it before I take my time to make it. Thanks!

Angela is correct. The photo is not even close to the original at Yoder's. We spend a couple of months in Osprey and ALWAYS go to Yoder's for this pie. If you are within 150 miles of Sarasota you have to go there for lunch, but go hungry!
