Basic Basil Baked Tomatoes
this is a recipe i also like to have on its own becuase it is a healthy snack .

Ingredients
- 2 tomatoes good sized tomatoes
- olive or sunflower oil
- oil (for greasing)
- dried or fresh basil leaves
- pinch salt
Instructions
Step 1
<a href="/8BSVY4LZ">Wash </a>and <a href="/RF7SRX43">dry </a>the tomatoes and pull of any remaining leaves or stems.
Step 2
<a href="/H3S4YV46">Pre-heat </a>oven to gas mark 5 or 6 ,if it is a fan -assisted oven use I80 or 190 cels instead.
Step 3
Grease a <a href="/RNT367Z2">baking </a>tray or pan with oil (without holes) .
Step 4
<a href="/DYM522S6">Rub </a>all over the tomatoes with oil and <a href="/RF7SRX43">dried </a>basil leaves( if you are using fresh basil leaves do not add them yet).
Step 5
<a href="/H7TNTGFZ">Season </a>them with the pinch of <a href="/DPSVTKVY">salt </a>and put the tomatoes in the tray.
Step 6
Put in the middle of the oven and let it cook for 7 minutes.
Step 7
Move the tomatoes in the tray a bit and now put on the fresh basil if you are using it.
Step 8
Let it cook for 5 minutes more and the tomatoes should be done. (they <a href="/TPWNYF5L">can </a>be left in the oven for softer tomatoes).
Step 9
(<a href="/H7TNTGFZ">Season </a>them a bit extra with more <a href="/DPSVTKVY">salt </a>if it is required).
Step 10
<a href="/Y6MVNCHX">Serve </a>them hot and enjoy them straight away!
