Lentil Dahl (2 Persons)
100 grams green lentils
2 liters 1/ 2 of tomato sauce, or large fresh tomatoes+ 37 cl of water
1 large clove garlic
1 /2 cs spices (ginger, coriander, cumin ...)
2 tablespoons 1/ neutral oil (grapeseed, etc.)
Fry the spices in oil all at once.
After 2 minutes, add onion and minced garlic clove.
Add lentils and stir.
After 2 minutes add the tomato purée or sauce, carrot in slices (I've diced), salt.
Bring to low heat and cover. Cook for about an hour, adding water as and if the mixture becomes too dry.
Serve with rice.
