  • 2.25 cup Tomato juice
  • 4.5 ounce TVP
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Margarine
  • 1 cup Cold water
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herb mixture
  • 0.75 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 6 ounces Vegetarian sausage
  • Salt & pepper(optional)

Step 1

5 minutes

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, vegetarian sausage, salt, pepper, dried herb mixture, fresh parsley, and cold water. Stir very well and set aside. Melt the margarine in a frying pan. Sauté the onion for 5 minutes, until lightly browned.

10 minutes

Add the TVP and continue to sauté for 1-2 minutes, then add tomato juice, stir, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir the contents of the frying pan into the vegetarian sausage mixture in the mixing bowl.

1 hour

Place the mixture into a greased and lined 2 lb loaf pan and bake for 1 hour.
