- 4 teaspoons salt
- 12 teaspoons sugar
- 1 quart water
- 4 quarts corn
- butter(optional)

Cut corn off cob and put in a large kettle. Add water, sugar and salt. Stir to mix. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer. Remove from heat and set kettle in ice water to cool quickly.

Step 2
When cool, put corn and liquid into containers. Leave room for expansion as it freezes. Freeze.

To prepare for serving, heat in pan and drain. Add a touch of butter if desired.
