Bittersweet Chocolate Truffles

  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • chopped nuts(optional)
  • 1.75 tablespoons liqueur of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 bar 4 ounce bittersweet chocolate

Instructions

Step 1

2 1/2 to 3 minutes

In a double boiler, melt broken chocolate, stirring constantly. Alternatively, microwave for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes on medium power.

Remove chocolate from heat. Blend in butter. Stir in cream, then liqueur. Combine with chopped nuts, if desired.

10 to 15 minutes

Chill for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently until thick enough to hold a shape.

Drop by heaping teaspoons onto a foil-lined baking pan. Shape into balls, if desired.

at least 2 hours

Cover and chill at least 2 hours to set truffles.
