Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1/2 cup sugar until pale yellow and creamy. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat in.

Sift together 2 cups all purpose flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add alternately with 1/2 cup milk to the wet ingredients until incorporated. Scrape batter into a cake pan and spread evenly.

For the cream cheese filling: In another mixing bowl, beat 8 ounces cream cheese until very smooth. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar, scraping the sides of the bowl well. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and blend. Add 1 egg and mix well.

Spoon the cream cheese filling over the cake batter in the cake pan. Top with 2 cups blueberries.

For the streusel: In a small bowl, blend 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in 3 tablespoons unsalted butter with your fingers until crumbly and no large bits of butter are visible.

Sprinkle streusel on top of the berries and bake for 50-60 minutes.
