Golden Apple Pie
Ingredients for a 26-28 cm baking pan
2 cups of flour for all uses
1 cup of butter
5 sour apples cut into thin slices
4 tablespoons of sugar
4 tablespoons of milk
2 tablespoons of extra sugar
5 tablespoons rum or brandy
1/2 cup of apricot jam
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Beat butter with sugar until fluffy;
then add the sugar, milk, eggs
and slowly the flour.
Put mixture in a baking dish greased and sprinkled with flour
and then place upon the mixture the apple slices and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar.
place it in the oven for about 40 to 50 minutes until the cake is golden brown. Once browned remove from the oven and let it cool. Melt over low heat the jam and add the rum and pour over the apple pie.
