Hometown Fried Rice
This is simple Malaysian favorite recipe, traditional cook here using shrimp paste or 'belacan' to make it more tasty especially for Malaysian tongue.

- 2 cup Rice
- 1 unit Onion
- 1 unit Garlic
- 2 unit Big Green Chili
- 3 unit Small Green Chili(optional)
- 3 tablespoons Small Dried Fish
- 1 tablespoon Fried Small Dried Fish
- 1 cup Spinach
- 2 unit Large Fried Eggs
- to taste Salt(optional)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
Instructions
Step 1
Blend together the onion, garlic, big green chillies, small green chillies (if using), and the 3 tablespoons of small dried fish to form a paste.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a pan and add the blended paste. Fry until the onion and garlic are cooked and the paste is very aromatic.
Step 3
Add salt to taste, ensuring the paste is slightly salty to account for the later addition of rice.
Step 4
Add the cooked rice and spinach to the pan. Stir well to combine all ingredients evenly.
Step 5
Serve the fried rice immediately, garnished with the large fried eggs and the 1 tablespoon of fried small dried fish.
