  • 3 pounds medium shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 strips celery, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups canned tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chopped green onion

Instructions

In a heavy skillet, melt vegetable oil over medium heat.
