Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 0.5 cup all-natural strawberry jam
  • 1 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 shot raspberry liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • whipped cream(optional)
  • fresh raspberries(optional)
  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice

Instructions

1

Step 1

In a wide bowl, crush 2 pounds of hulled fresh strawberries in batches until you have 4 cups of mashed berry.

2

Step 2

until dissolved

In a heavy bottomed saucepan, mix together the mashed strawberries, 4 cups white sugar, and 0.25 cup lemon juice. Stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.

3

Step 3

until mixture reaches 220 degrees F (105 degrees C)

Increase heat to high, and bring the mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil, stirring often, until the mixture reaches 220 degrees F (105 degrees C).

4

Step 4

Transfer the hot jam to hot sterile jars, leaving 1/4 to 1/2 inch headspace, and seal. Process in a water bath. If the jam is going to be eaten right away, refrigerate it without processing.

5

Step 5

until thick and smooth

In a blender, combine 1 cup vanilla ice cream, 0.5 cup of the prepared strawberry jam, 1 ounce cream cheese, 1 shot raspberry liqueur, 2 tablespoons milk, and 3 ice cubes. Blend on medium speed until thick and smooth.

6

Step 6

Divide the milkshake among small glasses. Top with whipped cream and a fresh raspberry.
