- 2.5 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 14.0 ounce sweetened condensed milk
- salt
- 3.0 extra large egg whites
- guava jelly(optional)
- white chocolate ganache
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine coconut flakes, condensed milk and salt until everything is well incorporated.
Step 3
In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Step 4
Fold egg whites into coconut mixture. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drop about 2 tablespoons of the batter for each macaroon.
Step 5
Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until golden.
Step 6
Serve macaroons as is, or spread guava jelly (or your favorite type of jelly) on the bottom of two macaroons and close them together to form a sandwich.
Step 7
Dip sandwiched macaroons in white chocolate ganache.
Step 8
Let cool and serve.
