Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp Topping

- 5 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 4 cup rhubarb, diced
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1.5 cup old fashioned oatmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup cold butter
Instructions
Step 1
Add diced rhubarb to the sliced strawberries in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2
Add 1 cup sugar and 5 tablespoons flour to the fruit mixture and gently blend well.
Step 3
Spread this fruit mixture into a 9 X 13 inch baking pan.
Step 4
In a medium-sized bowl, blend together the old fashioned oatmeal, 1 cup flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

Add the cold butter to the dry topping mixture with a pastry cutter until crumbly.
Step 6
Layer this topping mixture evenly over the strawberries and rhubarb in the baking pan.
Step 7
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes, until crisp, golden brown and bubbly.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
