  • 2 Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 fl oz Water
  • 12 ounce Breast of chicken
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Bicarbonate of soda
  • 6 ounce Chickpea flour

Step 1

To make the spicy batter, combine chickpea flour, bicarbonate of soda, cumin, garam masala, coriander, and salt in a mixing bowl.

Puree the onion, garlic, ginger, green chillies, and fresh coriander in a blender or food processor. Add the pureed mixture and water to the dry ingredients and stir well to combine into a batter.

6-7 minutes

Once the batter is prepared, dip pieces of chicken into the mixture one piece at a time. Fry for 6-7 minutes until brown. Remove the fried pakoras and place them on a kitchen towel to drain excess fat.

Serve with mango chutney.
