- 3 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper
- 2 pounds boiling potatoes

Heat the oven to 375 degrees.

Break the bay leaves into pieces and put in a roasting pan with the butter, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Put in the oven just long enough to melt the butter.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks.

Toss the potatoes with the melted butter to coat.
