- 1 roasted red pepper
- 1 roasted onion
- 1 bulb roasted garlic
- 14 oz can organic diced tomatoes, with juice
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 ounces blackstrap molasses
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Water(optional)

Step 1
Put tomatoes with juice in a medium sauce pan and bring to a simmer over low heat.

Add spices and continue to simmer on low for about 3-5 minutes to let the spices infuse. (The quantities given are an estimation, use a little at a time and adjust to your taste.)

Allow to cool slightly and transfer to a blender along with red pepper and garlic and puree until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients, including a little water if the mixture is thick, and blend again until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
