Limu Kala is a type of brown macroalga. They can be found in reefs and shallow water in temperate and tropical oceans. The seaweed is gathered and cleaned for use as an herbal remedy. Chinese herbalists use the powdered limu kala dissolved in warm water and drank as a tea.The purpose is to remove excess phlegm. This is called Seaweed Sargassum Tea.
