  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounce butter
  • 2 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • shredded cheddar cheese(optional)

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut the butter into the flour mixture until it has the consistency of small peas. Mix in the chives. Add the cream and stir with a fork until the ingredients come together to form soft dough.

8 to 10 minutes

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut into rounds with a cookie cutter. Place the rounds on an ungreased cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake until golden brown.
