- 1 cup freshly steeped chai tea or cinnamon spiced tea
- 1/3 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup fresh apple cider
- 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 small fresh apples, quartered
- 1 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons ground flax seed
- pinch salt
Instructions
Step 1
Brew 1 chai tea bag in hot water. Set aside to prepare other ingredients while it steeps.
Step 2
Stir quick oats and apple cider in a microwave safe dish. Heat 60 sec, until oats have softened and absorbed most of the liquid, you still want it to be a little loose (add a tablespoon more cider if you need to).
Step 3
Once hot tea is ready, place ⅓ cup of the tea in a blender with cooked oats and remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more hot tea to get to desired thickness.
Step 4
Sprinkle top with cinnamon and get on with your morning!
