- as needed flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil or bacon fat
- 1/2 cup bacon, fried and crumbled
- 2 cups starter
- 1 egg, beaten

Step 1
Add egg, bacon, oil and sugar to the starter and <a href="/technique/7S3QCKWK/mix">mix</a> briefly. Add flour to make desired thickness and <a href="/technique/7S3QCKWK/mix">mix</a> till lump free. Just before cooking <a href="/technique/PXKXVQTM/dissolve">dissolve</a> <a href="/technique/RNT367Z2/baking">baking</a> soda into 1 Tablespoon of water <a href="/technique/7S3QCKWK/mix">mix</a>, gently with batter, and cook 2 or 3 inch rounds in a hot griddle for 2 to 4 minutes; <a href="/technique/B52FHCF2/turn">turn</a> and cook 2 more minutes.
