  • 350 ml milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon apples, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon papaya, chopped
  • 1 large banana, chopped
  • 1 small mango
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon almonds (soaked overnight), chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar(optional)
  • honey(optional)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup broken wheat or daliya/ dalia (smaller grains)

Instructions

Step 1

Roast the broken wheat in a pan until it becomes golden brown.

Add water and cook until the broken wheat softens.

Add milk and fennel seeds.

Continue to cook until the milk and broken wheat are well incorporated and the mixture thickens slightly.

10-15 seconds

Add sugar (or honey, if using) and stir for 10-15 seconds.

Remove the porridge from heat and allow it to cool.

Once cooled, stir in the chopped fruit and almonds.
