Greek Inspired Beef Souvlaki
400g Lean minced beef, 5% fat
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 tbsp Red wine vinegar
1/2 Red onion, grated
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Fresh oregano, finely chopped
1 tsp Fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 tsp Dried marjoram
Use your hands to squish all ingredients together in a large bowl until combined. Pop in the fridge to marinate for 30 minutes.
Whilst the beef is marinating light the BBQ or preheat the grill to medium/high setting.
Divide the beef souvlaki mixture equally into 4. Use your hands to gently roll into sausages then insert a skewer through the centre.
Grill on each side for 4-5 minutes, depending on size. Ensure they are cooked through and piping hot before serving.
Serve with flatbreads or pittas, Greek salad and Tzatziki.
